Phyllis Prinzo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Phyllis Prinzo, daughter of Rosario and Angela Devito. Phyllis left us peacefully on August 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, tradition, and kindness.

Phyllis immigrated to the United States from Sant' Angelo dei Lombardi, Italy, following World War II. She and her family initially settled in downtown Brooklyn before moving to the Bensonhurst/Boro Park area. Phyllis was known for her friendly, kind, and caring nature, and she held steadfast to the many traditions and beliefs she brought over from Italy. She was truly an ideologue, whose values and customs enriched the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her sister Francis Carbone, brother Anthony, sister-in-law Madeline Devito, brother Carmine Devito, and sister-in-law Joann. Phyllis also leaves behind her beloved son James Prinzo, his wife Beverly, and her cherished grandchildren, Louis and Giovanna.
