In Loving Memory of Antonietta Giordano
April 19, 1945 – March 30, 2025
Antonietta Giordano, a devoted mother, cherished sister, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Italy on April 19, 1945, Antonietta came to the United States during a time of great challenge and uncertainty, yet built a life full of warmth, resilience, and love.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Maria Lupo and Angela Zampaglione, as well as her three children: Domenick Giordano, Francise Giordano, and Madeline Bassini, all of whom she raised with incredible strength and unwavering dedication.
Antonietta was the heart of her family—a loving, caring woman who knew when to be gentle and when to stand firm. She was deeply protective of her loved ones and instilled in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and faith.
She gave the world the best hugs, and her kitchen was always filled with the rich aromas of her famous home-cooked meals. She was the kind of cook who made everything from scratch, infusing each dish with love—and a little bit of mischief. One of her family’s fondest memories is the time they discovered several mortadella sandwiches hidden in her purse after her doctor told her to eat healthier. She had her own quiet way of doing things, and it was impossible not to smile when she was around.
Antonietta’s proudest accomplishments were not measured by titles or accolades, but by the life she built and the family she nurtured. Coming to America with nothing but hope, she raised three children during difficult times and built a home filled with love, tradition, and laughter.
She loved romantic movies, chatting with neighbors, and could often be found at Thompson Street Park striking up conversations with anyone lucky enough to sit beside her. Her warmth and openness made her a true friend to all.
Antonietta will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, strength, and unforgettable presence.
